Das Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen ist architektonisch ein wahres Glanzlicht. Gestern hatte ich dort einen Termin mit einem Kunden . Da ich vorher ein wenig Zeit hatte, schoss ich für mich einige Fotos in den Ausstellungsräumen. Mich faszinierte neben den Exponaten besonders die äußerst interessante Ausstellungskonzeption und die dynamische Architektur des ganzen Gebäudes. Sie können die Bilder hier als Präsentation mit Musik und einer Klanginstallation anschauen.

Nach einem Wettbewerb mit über 170 Architekten wurde das Architekturbüro Delugan Meissl Associated Architects aus Wien als Sieger gekürt, die das Gebäude konzipierten. Das Museum präsentiert seit 2009 lebendig und modern die Geschichte und Faszination der Marke Porsche. Etwa 95 Fahrzeuge erzählen die Unternehmensgeschichte in spannenden Ausstellungen, wobei regelmäßige Austausche der Exponate für Dynamik sorgen. Die Besucher folgen einer spiralförmigen Chronologie, beginnend mit den aktuellen Fahrzeugen und endend bei den ältesten, um einen Überblick über die Firmenhistorie zu erhalten. Die schwarze Wand zeigt die Produktgeschichte von Prototypen, Studien und Serienfahrzeugen, während weiße Bereiche die Ideen zu den jeweiligen Themenschwerpunkten aufzeigen. Die spektakuläre Architektur des Museums und die Motorsportfahrzeuge in Startaufstellung vermitteln eine sofortige Fahrbereitschaft.

Kleine Info für die Fotoenthusiasten: Alle Bilder machte ich mit der Sony A7 und dem alten Minolta MD 3,5/35-70mm. Das ganze Handling ist vollständig manuell mit Blendenring am Objektiv, Belichtungsrad oben auf der Kamera und natürlich manueller Fokussierung. Das nennt man „reduced to the max“. Vielleicht ein wenig überraschend: Ich bin damit genauso schnell wie mit einer neuen Kamera mit ihrer Vielzahl an Funktionen – und es macht viel mehr Spaß.

The Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen is a true architectural highlight. I had an appointment with a client there yesterday. As I had a little time beforehand, I took some photos for myself in the exhibition rooms. In addition to the exhibits, I was particularly fascinated by the extremely interesting exhibition concept and the dynamic architecture of the whole building. In a competition involving over 170 architects, the architectural firm Delugan Meissl Associated Architects from Vienna was chosen as the winner and designed the building. The museum has been presenting the history and fascination of the Porsche brand in a lively and modern way since 2009. Around 95 vehicles tell the story of the company in exciting exhibitions, with regular changes of exhibits providing a dynamic atmosphere. Visitors follow a spiral chronology, starting with the latest vehicles and ending with the oldest, to gain an overview of the company’s history. The black wall shows the product history of prototypes, studies and production vehicles, while white areas show the ideas behind the respective main themes. The spectacular architecture of the museum and the motorsport vehicles on the starting grid convey an immediate sense of readiness to drive.

A little info for the photo enthusiasts: I took all the pictures with the Sony A7 and the old Minolta MD 3.5/35-70mm. The whole handling is completely manual with aperture ring on the lens, exposure wheel on top of the camera and of course manual focussing. This is called „reduced to the max“. Perhaps a little surprisingly, I’m just as fast with it as with a new camera with its multitude of functions – and it’s much more fun.
